Again...

Here we are again - I so suck at blogging..guess I'll try again. I can't even begin to discribe how busy we are. Having a teenage daughter with a very active social life and a son who is excelling at baseball - hubby and I just try to stay above water.
I say I go to work to keep me sane - it's the one place I am at for 5 hours and don't have to do laundry, housecleaning, pay bills, make lists.
But as busy as we are - we wouldn't change a thing! The kids are happy and we are happy. We realize the importance of taking a couple hours just for us - it's ok to do that. :)
So now it's time for laundry and housework...

where to begin

WOW! what a long time. let's see, I was RIF'd from my job in May, was offered a position that opened right before the new school year started. So, I'm back to work, just not in my previous position. I love my new job - and my schedule. Mon - Thur and I'm home by 1:30. Can you say AWESOME!

The kids are BUSY! The freshman is loving high school. The 6th grader thinks it's cool to be "big man on campus." Of course we are in the thick of fall activities: softball, baseball, scouts, and a very active social for the before mentioned freshman.

Guess I will try to do better at updating - feel like a broken record with saying that. But I really will try this time.

BELIEVE

My son's baseball team is now in the fight to get into the Championship game. Tonight's game is a must win situation. I have told the boys their new motto is BELIEVE! And I think they are actually listening to me - I can hope anyway...

My daughter has a softball game, away, starting an hour before my son's game. We are hoping to make the last 45 min of my son's game. I'm counting on my baseball friends to keep me in the loop while I'm not there.

After Saturday...we have to start a new normal..no practice, games, snack bar...what is one to do...

Goodness gracious - it's been such a long time since I posted ANYTHING on my blog.

Well, we are now in the wind down stage of baseball and softball - yes, I did say, or type, softball. Our daughter at the sweet age of 14 has decided to get into the game. And let me tell you how much she has improved in 6 short weeks. LOVE IT!

Our son has been in a bit of a slump the past, uh hum 7 games, until last week. He is BACK! And the first game of playoffs was a stellar game for him! And all his teammates! YAY!

We also just returned from a wonderful trip to Disneyland/California Adventure and the beach in San Diego.

What else, well, I am now the mother of a freshman and 6th grader. As the saying goes...I don't know where the time has gone.
I am still out of a job. My position was eliminated in the school district I was working in. It's okay since we are fortunate enough that my husband has a very secure position with the fire dept. Thank Goodness!!

It's summer and I love my lazy mornings..but the laundry seems to be never, ever ending...

I will try harder to post. If ANYONE, I mean ANYONE looks at this blog, please let me know.

Until next time...

Family

Time can go by so fast. My brother and his family have been visiting for the past 10 days. At first it seemed like they would be here forever. Tomorrow they board a plane to go back home. I feel like they haven't been here hardly at all. It's been a wonderful visit. We have both seen friends we haven't seen in 20 years. And I've introduced them to some of our wonderful friends. I'm going to miss them! But look forward to seeing them in March.

Now it's time to get organzied around here. it never ends! happy sunday!

Duel in the Desert

My brother and his family arrived here yesterday afternoon. We are having a football party tonight in honor of the Wildcats vs Sun Devils. Some of our dearest friends will be watching with us. A steak dinner is on the line. My hubby and I have been the loosers the past 2 years, we hope for a change this year.
Have a great weekend!

Tis the season to be ORGANIZED!!!

Oh boy! Do I need a calendar just for the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas! So much to do...so little time. Thank goodness I am off work for just over 2 weeks during Christmas! That's when I will catch up on rest..lazy mornings...movie afternoons...nice homecooked dinners that we don't have to rush through..ah..bliss!

Thanksgiving was wonderful! I love spending time with my family and friends. I didn't make it out early Friday. I slept until 7:30 - that is sleeping in for me! LOL! The rest of the weekend flew by.

Think about what kinds of holiday treats, ok, Christmas cookies, you like to bake the most. If anyone reads this, please let me know what you like to bake.

Until next time...
